Matthew 5:1-12

The world seems to be even more upside down than usual right now, doesn’t it? And even closer to home, here at Central, we are in a time of transition and moving ahead on a new journey together. When upside down and right side up seem to be all mixed up, when everything seems to be going from bad to worse, what does it mean to be a Jesus follower?

This morning, we reflect on our identity as right side up people in an upside-down world. As followers of Jesus, we are called to co-operate with God and each other to turn the world right side up. We are right side up in God’s eyes, but may seem upside down to those around us.
